Lexis Viena, junior optimist, is a Journalism I staff writer for Ka Leo O Nā Koa. It is her first year on staff, and she will to try her best to give you the 411 on what’s going on at KSM.

Since she is endorsed by the literary arts academy, she is constantly writing, which she very much enjoys. Among other things, she enjoys reading, singing and spending time with her friends and family, and  when she isn’t at school, you may find her at the beach, or fishing in Hāna. Belonging to a family of eight, she is constantly on the move.

She also hopes to become a first grade teacher.

Living in distant Hāʻiku, she will try her best to be involved with most all school activities to keep the reader informed and interested. She will try her hardest to make this year’s paper the best one yet.
