
WAIKAPU – Tonight’s 2012 Senior Ball kicked off a vintage-themed night at the King Kamehameha Golf Course. From 5 to 10:30, the senior class and their guests enjoyed a fun night full of good food, music and dancing, January 14, 2012.
Senior ladies dressed in their gowns and gentlemen in their respective formal wear filed in with their dates and friends. “‘Til we Meet Again” was the theme of the night’s activities.
The students sat and conversed anticipating the night’s schedule. After senior Makamae Palos prayed, attendees lined up to make their plates and eat.
The menu consisted of:
Organic Upcountry baby greens and homemade garlic croutons
Classic Ceasar salad and roasted garlic croutons
Garlic herb roasted prime rib with creamed horseradish and au jus
steamed rice
Roasted chicken with Hā’iku tomato coulis
Sauteed mahimahi with citrus beurre blanc
Sauteed Kula vegetables
Garlic mashed potatoes
Fresh baked rolls
Premium assorted pies
When the guests finished their meals, masters of ceremonies Corey Tanaka and Melia Mattos entertained the guests and began the hall of fame award ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Facebook addicts: Noah Harders and Christen Chin
Everyday their Tumblin’: Corey Tanaka and Demi Carvalho
Mr. and Mrs. Chatterbox: Kūpono Cabanas and Kelley Kokubun
Future leaders: Makai Mann and Abby Okazaki
Most likely to sleep through an earthquake: Kamahoe Bal and Kahea Wojcieski
Most likely to be I.D.’d at 30: Dillon Tacdol and Jasmine Pagaduan
Most likely to be late for graduation: Maika Kaikaka and Auli’i Pokini
Life of the party: Travis Haas and Melia Mattos
After the crowning ceremony, the dance floor started to fill. The senior class of 2012 danced to songs provided by Next Level Productions.
“It was definitely a night to remember…anything with the class of 2012 is memorable,” senior Pi’ikea Karlen said.
