Panthers will advance to 11-0

November 25, 2015

On Thursday, Nov. 26 the Carolina Panthers will fly to two destinations: to Dallas to play the Cowboys, and another destination to be announced, a soon-to-be 11-0 season.

The Panthers triumphed over the Washington Redskins, beating them 44-16, improving to 10-0.

The Cowboys just came off a win against the Miami Dolphins, 24-14. In that game, they finally got Tony Romo back after he was sidelined with an injury. Dallas sits at 3-7.

Carolina leads in passing by Cam Newton, who looks like he could win MVP this year. Newton is 174 for 306 on passing attempts and has racked up 2,283 yards this season. He also has 20 touchdowns so far this year.

Jonathan Stewart leads the team in rushing, collecting 764 yards on 190 carries. Stewart is averaging four yards per carry and has four touchdowns on the season.

Tight End Greg Olsen leads the team in receiving with 48 catches for 718 yards. Olsen is averaging 15 yards per catch and has six touchdowns on the season.

Matt Cassel, who filled in for Romo while he was out with an injury, leads Dallas in passing. This season Cassel has thrown for 809 yards and completing 74 out of 119 attempts. He has four touchdowns on the season.

Former Raider Darren McFadden leads Dallas in rushing. McFadden has carried the ball 159 times for 623 yards and is averaging almost four yards per carry. McFadden has two touchdowns on the season.

Tight End Jason Witten leads the team in receiving. Witten has 472 yards on 51 catches. He is currently averaging over nine yards per catch and has two touchdowns on the season.

For this game, I’m taking the Panthers. Yes, it’s true that Dallas is getting Tony Romo back, but this will only be his second game back, and it’s not like he beat an amazing team. Let’s be honest, Miami is terrible.

The Panthers beat down a team that wasn’t very good either, but they’re on a roll. Cam Newton is looking like an All-Star, and Dallas is going to have a hard time keeping him down.

Update: Panthers 33, Cowboys 14
