Jaguars will beat Chargers
December 4, 2015
On Sunday, the San Diego Chargers will travel to Jacksonville to play the Jaguars. The Chargers recently played the Kansas City Chiefs and lost 33-3. They are now 2-8, and are in fourth place in AFC West. The Jaguars are sitting at 4-6, and are coming off a 19-13 win over the Titans. They are in third place in the AFC South.
Philip Rivers leads San Diego in passing. Rivers has thrown for 3211 yards this season, completing 288 out of 420 passes and has 19 touchdowns on the season.
Rookie Melvin Gordon leads the team in rushing. He has carried the ball 129 times, and has 450 yards rushing. Gordon is averaging three and a half yards per carry.
Keenan Allen is the team’s number one receiver and has 67 catches on the year for 725 yards. Allen is averaging over 10 yards per catch and has four touchdowns on the season.
Blake Bortles leads the Jacksonville Jaguars in passing completing 218 out of 386 passes this year with 2623 yards. He has 20 touchdowns on the season.
T.J. Yeldon leads the team in rushing with 585 yards this season on 147 carries. He is averaging four yards per carry and has one touchdown on the season.
Allen Robinson leads the team in receiving and has caught 50 catches this year for a total of 871 yards. He averages over 17 yards per catch and has seven touchdowns on the season.
For this game, I’m taking the Jaguars. The Chargers have been struggling to move the ball and former all star college running back, Melvin Gordon, has not been much help at all. The Jaguars aren’t very good either, but at the same time they look better than San Diego. That doesn’t say much, but it’s enough for them to win on Sunday.
Update: Chargers 31, Jaguars 25
