Seahawks prevail over Steelers

Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks beat Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburg Steelers 39-30 at CenturyLink Field on Sunday. Seattle has improved their record to 6-5 and are second in NFC West. The Steelers have fallen to 6-5 and are in second place in AFC North.

Next Sunday, the Steelers will travel to Indianapolis to play Matt Hasselbeck and the Colts, who are currently at 6-5, at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Seahawks will be playing the Vikings in Minnesota on Sunday. The Vikings are 8-3.

Russell Wilson threw for 345 yards, completing 21 out of 30 passes. Wilson had five touchdown passes on the day.

Thomas Rawls led Seattle in rushing and carried the ball 21 times for a total of 81 yards. His longest carry of the day was a 17-yard run with one touchdown on the day.

Doug Baldiwn led the team in receiving against the Steelers. Baldwin caught six passes for 145 yards and had three touchdowns on the day. His longest reception was an 80-yard touchdown pass.

Ben Roethlisberger threw for 456 yards, completing 36 out of 55 passes. He had one touchdown pass and two interceptions that game.

DeAngelo Williams led Pittsburg in rushing and ran the ball 8 times for 29 yards. He had one touchdown this game with his longest carry at seven yards.

Markus Wheaton was Pittsburg’s number one receiver this game. Wheaton caught nine passes for 201 yards and had one 69-yard touchdown, which was also his longest reception of the game.

The Pittsburg Steelers lost Big Ben to a concussion but he played very well overall. This game was mostly an offensive battle, since apparently none of theses defenses could hold down the other team’s offense.
