Giants fall to Jets, slip to 5-7

On Sunday, Dec. 6, the New York Giants fell to the New York Jets in overtime by a score of 23-20. The Giants have slipped to 5-7, and are in third place in NFC East. The Jets have improved their overall record to 7-5, and they are in second place in AFC East.

On Monday, Dec. 14, the Giants will travel to Miami to play Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins. The Dolphins are currently 5-7 and are in fourth place in NFC East.

The Jets will play their next game on Sunday, Dec. 13. They will face off against Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans. The Titans are 3-9 are currently fourth in AFC South.

Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 36 out of 50 passes that game for a total of 390 yards. He had two touchdowns that game.

Chris Ivory led the team in rushing. Ivory carried the ball for 10 times for 47 yards. His longest carry of the day was 20 yards.

Former Chicago Bear Brandon Marshall led the Jets in receiving against the Giants. Marshall caught 12 passes for a total of 131 yards. He had one touchdown on the day, and his longest reception was a 25-yard catch.

Eli Manning threw for 297 yards that game, completing 18 out of 34 passes. He had one touchdown and one interception.

Orleans Darkwa led the Big Blue in rushing. He ran the ball eight times for 23 yards. His longest run of the game was six yards.

Odell Beckham Jr. was the Giants’ main receiver that game. He caught six passes for a total of 149 yards. His longest reception was a 72 yard touchdown.

The New York Giants were so close, but yet again, they found another way to blow it. The whole game was up and up, but in the fourth quarter, the Giants defense started giving up big plays. Hopefully the defense doesn’t make the Dolphins look like All-Stars.
