The Carolina Panthers will play the Atlanta Falcons next on Sunday, Dec.13. Atlanta is 6-6 and is in third place in NFC South.

New Orleans plays Tampa Bay this Sunday, on Dec. 13. The Buccaneers are 6-6 and are in second in NFC South.

Cam Newton passed for 331 yards, completing 28 out of 41 passes. Newton had five touchdowns and one interception.

Jonathan Stewart led Carolina’s offense in rushing. Stewart carried the ball 21 times for 82 yards. His longest run of the game was 22 yards and he had one touchdown.

Tight end Greg Olsen led the team in receiving. Olsen caught nine passes for 129 yards. His longest reception was 32 yards.

Drew Brees passed for 282 yards, completing 24 out of 42 passes. He had three touchdowns and one interception.

Mark Ingram led New Orleans in rushing. He ran the ball 12 times for 56 yards. His longest run was 14 yards, and he had one touchdown.

Brandin Cooks led the team in receiving. Cooks caught six passes for 104 yards and had one touchdown. His touchdown was his longest reception, 54 yards.

This game was close, and the Panthers made some painful mistakes. I was happy that they won, but they need to start off way stronger if they want to avoid situations like that. Atlanta is better than the Saints, and the Panthers can’t slip.
